What We Do

Harnessing the power of education as a driving force to transform communities.

Where We Work

Talent and potential exist in everyone, but opportunities aren’t always available to all.

We work with schools in Anyama, Ivory Coast, to build libraries that serve as educational hubs. Our spaces provide marginalized youth with the infrastructure and resources they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Our model is locally driven, inspired by our founder, a native of Anyama and former student who lived through the decade-long civil war. Their firsthand experience underscores the importance of using education to create opportunities and foster lasting peace.

OUR VISION

To harness the power of education as a driving force to transform communities.

How We Create Impact

Inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 5, 8, and 16), Impactful Education expands access to literacy, technology, and leadership opportunities for underserved communities in Côte d’Ivoire. Through community-based educational hubs, we believe in local solutions to local challenges. Our programs equip young people with the knowledge, digital skills, and leadership experience they need to succeed in school, thrive in their communities, and become the next generation of changemakers.

Our Unique Approach

At the core of our educational hubs lies a transformative, community-driven approach that not only bridges educational gaps in rural areas but also fosters the development of young peacemakers and leaders.

Through our E2LT model (Engage, Empower, Lead, and Transform) we enable young people to learn, practice, and teach, ensuring that the learning is not just theoretical but actively applied within their communities.

Engage

Our learners immerse themselves in interactive learning that encompasses technology and literacy, through either group or intimate settings, laying the groundwork for lifelong academic and personal success.

Empower

Ourinterconnected programs provide youth with hands-on experiences that are essential for preparing them to thrive and enhancing their ability to make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Lead

Educated youth create ripples of change in their communities, evolving into peacemakers and leaders who address issues from the local to the national level, contributing to a better world.

Transform

Ourethos fosters a transformative Pay-it-Forward cycle, where students mentor their peers, amplifying their impact and nurturing a culture of knowledge-sharing and community upliftment.

Hear from our Young Learners

Sangare Fanta

Our school added library classes to our schedule, so now I get at least an hour each week to work on my reading, writing, and technology skills. Before, I used to visit the library in my free time, but now our scheduled library class will help me boost my grades.
The library is my practice spot where learning is fun and stress-free. It is a place I keep coming back to, where no one judges you for what you don’t know.

Camara Mohamed

The hub is the favorite spot for my friends and me to do homework, participate in activities, and ask questions. In our regular classes, it is hard to get one-on-one attention because they’re so large, but here we can work in smaller groups. I feel much more comfortable asking questions and collaborating with my peers.

Oulaide Marie

The library has become an essential part of my learning, especially when I struggle with challenging subjects like physics, biology, or math. Before, I didn’t always have the resources I needed to fully understand these topics. Now, I can use the internet at the library to do research and find explanations for concepts I don’t understand in class. Whether it is looking up tutorials or finding books, the library gives me the tools I was missing to succeed. I am grateful for this support.

Coming to the library has also allowed me to work on my dream of becoming an architect. Through coding, I have created digital stories where buildings are the main focus, and I am learning the basics of design along the way. I invite all my friends to use the library too—it is a great place to make our dreams come true.
