We are thrilled to announce that Impactful Education has joined the Code Club initiative from the Raspberry Pi Foundation! This exciting collaboration will bring free coding resources and teaching to our educational hub in Anyama. Starting in the summer of 2024, we will be offering coding sessions at least once a week, with the program officially launching during our 2024 Summer Program.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation's Code Club is a global network of volunteer-led coding clubs for young people. By joining this initiative, we aim to provide our students with valuable skills in coding and computer science, equipping them for future success in the digital age. This partnership aligns perfectly with our objectives to close the digital gap and provide continuous and new technology tools and knowledge for our students to succeed.
Our students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of coding languages and concepts through fun, interactive projects. The Code Club curriculum includes activities that range from creating simple websites to developing games and animations using platforms like Scratch. These sessions will not only enhance their technical skills but also foster creativity, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and teamwork, as some of the projects will be based on collaborative efforts.
We are particularly excited to kick off this initiative during our 2024 Summer Program, where students will get a head start on their coding journey. Throughout the summer, they will engage in hands-on coding projects, working alongside our experienced Technology Coordinator who is passionate about teaching technology. This initiative will provide a stimulating and supportive environment for our students to explore their interests in technology and discover new possibilities for their future.
Impactful Education is committed to making technology education accessible to all our students in rural communities. Joining the Code Club is a significant step towards achieving this goal. We look forward to seeing our students grow and excel in their coding skills, and we are excited about the new opportunities this program will bring to our community.
Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to launch our Code Club sessions. If you are interested in supporting this initiative or volunteering with us, please visit our website or contact us for more information.
