Impactful Education consists of a local, on-the-ground team of passionate and resourceful individuals responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our educational hub, as well as the implementation of programs and activities. Our leadership board consists of individuals with a wealth of expertise across various sectors, with a strong passion for making a difference and advancing the organization’s mission and programs.

Discover Our Story

In 2022, Korotoumou Katy Ballo founded Impactful Education with the goal of providing a space for young people to access educational resources. Inspired by her personal experiences during Ivory Coast’s civil war and growing up in a community like Anyama, where access to educational infrastructure was a distant dream, she remained committed to making a change in her community even after moving to the United States. Now, Impactful Education impacts thousands of young people in Anyama. Before this, Katy built the town’s first library with the Davis Project for Peace Grant and served as the first Ambassador and intern for the Literate Earth Project in Uganda. She believes that education is the greatest equalizer of all time and that through Impactful Education, many young lives will be empowered.
