Empowering through Literacy Learning

At Impactful Education, we believe that literacy is the cornerstone of personal and community development. Our educational hub in Anyama is dedicated to fostering a love for reading and learning among the youth, providing them with the tools and opportunities to succeed academically and beyond.

Our vision for literacy activities goes beyond just teaching students to read and write. We aim to create a vibrant, stimulating environment where students can explore the world and their heritage through books and develop critical thinking skills. By offering a diverse range of reading materials and interactive learning experiences, we strive to inspire a lifelong passion for learning.

Our hub now has a collection of over 4,500 books, carefully curated to include a mix of local and international authors. This ensures that students can see themselves reflected in the stories they read while also gaining exposure to different cultures and perspectives. We regularly update our collection to keep it fresh and relevant to our students' interests and educational needs.

We also run various reading activities tailored to different reading levels. These programs include group or guided reading sessions, book clubs, and reading challenges designed to make reading fun and engaging. By encouraging students to read regularly and discuss what they have read, we help them develop comprehension and analytical skills.

Since the establishment of our educational hub, we have seen remarkable progress in our students' literacy skills. Students who were once reluctant readers now eagerly participate in our reading programs and show significant improvement in their reading comprehension and vocabulary. One of our proudest moments was seeing students suggest books they would love to read or discuss how they would have ended a book differently if they were the authors.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to grow and develop our literacy programs, we are committed to expanding our reach and impact. We plan to introduce more diverse reading materials and begin offering our resources to parents and students who are not in Lycée Moderne d’Anyama.
